Each year the Teaching Academy conducts an Educational Grants program. This program, supported by the Office of the Provost, is designed to improve the scholarship of teaching and learning at Purdue University and to provide a direct membership benefit to Academy Fellows and Associate Fellows.
Fellows and Associate Fellows can apply for grants of up to $1500 for teaching and learning related activities. We encourage applicants to leverage the award amount with other sources. Unfortunately, the Teaching Academy is unable to pay for stipends, tuition and fees, or for travel done by people other than the fellow or associate fellow. Priority will be given to grant requests that demonstrate advancement of the applicant’s efforts in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning.
To apply for an Educational Grant, fill out the application form and submit your application to James Walker by e-mail (jjw@purdue.edu) or by campus mail (Walker, BMS, Lynn) by October 16, 2009. Activities supported by this grant should occur between November 1, 2009 and May 1, 2010. Another round of grant funding will be available in the spring for events occurring between May 2, 2010 and October 31, 2010. Please direct questions to James Walker by e-mail or phone (494-8621).
