Welcome to the website for the Purdue University Teaching Academy.  I hope it will serve to connect you to resources at Purdue that support quality teaching.  Our members are outstanding scholar-teachers from across campus.  The Academy’s mission is to provide leadership to enhance and strengthen the quality of teaching and learning at Purdue.

If you are a new faculty member, you might want to check out the Faculty Mentoring Network.  Through collaborative work with Teaching Academy Fellows, junior faculty members are supported in their development as scholarly teachers.  Our Conversations about Teaching are discussions led by Teaching Academy Fellows about important educational issues and/or innovative pedagogical strategies.

Our members also serve on the Committee for Education of Teaching Assistants (CETA), which last year recognized over 100 graduate students for outstanding teaching and dedication to learning on the campus.  Teaching Academy Fellows and Associates also assist with the annual fall orientation program organized by the Center for Instructional Excellence for graduate teaching assistants.

Teaching Academy Fellows and Associates are found in all colleges and schools at Purdue. On behalf of the Executive Council, I welcome you to our website.  I sincerely hope it helps point you to resources that will enhance your teaching.
